April 4, 2025 - S-OIL TotalEnergies Lubricants (STLC) has extended its official sponsorship agreement with the Badminton Korea Association (BKA), reaffirming its support for the national team and international tournaments until March 2027.
The renewed sponsorship agreement was signed on March 28 during STLC’s Distributors Conference held at Oak Valley in Wonju, Gangwon Province. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Dong-moon, President of the BKA, and Patrice Devemy, CEO of STLC, who both expressed their commitment to continuing the partnership.
During the sponsorship period, the logo of STLC’s premium engine oil brand Quartz will be featured on the national team uniforms, court-side advertising boards and official event materials. In addition, STLC plans to carry out a variety of promotional activities at domestic badminton events, including prize sponsorships and brand booths, targeting both athletes and spectators.

Through our previous sponsorship, we were able to connect with badminton fans and share our brand values. Kim Dong-moon, President of the Badminton Korea Association, commented, “We are pleased to renew our partnership with STLC, which has consistently demonstrated strong support for the growth of badminton in Korea. We hope this renewed agreement will further strengthen the trust and cooperation between our organizations, and we look forward to working together on various initiatives to expand the sport’s reach and enhance the brand value of STLC."
Since becoming an official sponsor of the BKA in 2023, STLC has actively supported the national team. Meanwhile, STLC’s shareholder, global integrated energy company TotalEnergies, has been the title sponsor of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Major Events since 2015.
2025년 4월 4일 - 에쓰-오일토탈에너지스윤활유㈜(이하 STLC)가 대한배드민턴협회와의 공식 후원 계약을 연장하며, 2027년 3월까지 국가대표팀 및 국제 대회를 지원한다.
STLC는 지난 3월 28일 강원도 원주 오크밸리에서 열린 대리점 컨퍼런스 행사에서 대한배드민턴협회와 공식 후원 연장 계약을 체결했다. 이날 체결식에는 대한배드민턴협회 김동문 회장과 STLC 패트리스 드베미 대표가 참석해 협약서에 서명하며 파트너십 지속에 대한 의지를 밝혔다.
후원 기간동안 STLC의 프리미엄 엔진오일 브랜드 ‘쿼츠(Quartz)’의 로고는 국가대표팀 유니폼 및 국제 대회 경기장 광고 보드, 공식 제작물 등에 노출될 예정이다. 또한 국내 배드민턴 대회에서 경품 지원과 브랜드 부스 운영을 통해 선수 및 관람객을 대상으로 다양한 브랜드 홍보 활동도 펼칠 계획이다.
STLC 패트리스 드베미 대표는 “배드민턴은 쿼츠 브랜드의 엔진오일 핵심 속성인 성능, 정밀도, 내구성을 완벽하게 구현한 스포츠다. 이전 후원 기간동안 배드민턴 팬들과 소통하며 브랜드 가치를 널리 알릴 수 있었던 만큼, 이번 계약 연장을 통해 배드민턴 팬들과 소비자들의 참여를 강화하고, 브랜드의 우수성에 알려, 소비자들이 선택하는 브랜드가 되는 것을 목표로 한다”고 밝혔다.
이에 대한배드민턴협회 김동문 회장은 “STLC와 다시 한 번 파트너십을 이어가게 되어 매우 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “대한민국 배드민턴의 발전을 위해 지속적인 관심과 지원을 아끼지 않은 STLC에 깊이 감사드린다. 이번 재계약을 계기로 양측의 신뢰와 협력 관계가 더욱 공고해지기를 기대하며, 앞으로도 배드민턴 저변 확대와 STLC 브랜드 가치 제고를 위한 다양한 활동을 함께 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
STLC는 2023년부터 대한배드민턴협회 공식 후원사로 참여해 국가대표 선수단을 지원해왔다. 한편, STLC의 주주사 중 하나인 글로벌 에너지 기업 토탈에너지스(TotalEnergies) 또한 2015년부터 세계배드민턴연맹(BWF)의 타이틀 스폰서로 주요 대회를 공식 후원 해왔다.
