Promoting cultural exchange

vOilah! offers the best of French and Singaporean creativity and innovation in culture, education, science and lifestyle through diverse and engaging programmes.
Supporting two bilingual publications
As part of our commitment to biodiversity, TotalEnergies partnered the French Embassy, Lee Kong Chian National History Museum (LKCNHM) and the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle to launch a book telling the stories of French naturalists Diard and Duvaucel and their contributions to local natural history in celebration of Singapore’s Bicentennial in 2019.
TotalEnergies also supported the publication of Diard & Duvaucel: French Natural History Drawings of Singapore and Southeast Asia in 2021.
The books, featuring the works of Pierre Diard and Alfred Duvaucel who accompanied Sir John Stamford Raffles during his journeys to Singapore in 1819, detailed the beginnings of Singapore’s natural history and the rich visual stories of the flora and fauna in Singapore. The book launches have been included in vOilah! France Singapore Festivals, enriching France-Singapore relations.
Jazz Au Jardin
In 2022, we supported the vOilah! opening program, Jazz Au Jardin. The concert featuring French and Singaporean musicians was held at Singapore Botanic Gardens, and attracted scores of jazz lovers to enjoy a relaxing evening in the garden.
