Our commitment
A commitment to better energy is a commitment to the people and communities we serve every day.
To become the responsible energy major, we need not only achieve our business objectives, but also spearhead citizenship initiatives in our host communities. In keeping with our history, our businesses and our values, the TotalEnergies Foundation global program focuses on four priority areas of action - Road Safety; Climate, Coastal Areas & Oceans; Youth Inclusion & Education, and Cultural Dialogue & Heritage.
As we seek to bring accessible, affordable and cleaner energy, we have forged close partnerships with our host countries and the people who call them home. We continue to look for new opportunities to partner with these communities to accelerate their sustainable social and economic development. It is community engagement that truly grounds one of TotalEnergies' defining qualities – a pioneering spirit, found in each of our employees.
Our priority areas

Halogen Foundation Singapore is a values-based non-profit Institution of a Public Character (IPC) charity that believes every young person has innate potential to influence and lead, becoming positive change agents.
TotalEnergies employees have been coaching youths from the underserved communities since 2019 as part of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE, aptly pronounced “nifty”) programme. Volunteers help to coach youths to instill in them entrepreneurial mindset and build business skills. This is done through knowledge and experience sharing and guiding them through the innovative, hands-on curriculum.
More than 1,000 youths from five public schools were coached by TotalEnergies employee volunteers in the first year, and the programme also went virtual in 2020 to ensure continuity of service to the youth community.

Mission
Beyond Social Services is a non-profit IPC charity that aims to help children and youths from less privileged backgrounds break away from the poverty cycle. Beyond believes that every child deserves a chance at shaping their own future, which is why they hope to support youths to move past their socio-economic drawbacks and grow into responsible adults by the age of 25.
Beyond Social Services supports youths by nurturing a positive environment where youths feel a sense of belonging, such as through educational and developmental programmes. They have reached out to over 10,000 rental units in governmental rental blocks in Singapore.
Partnership with TotalEnergies
TotalEnergies firmly believes in investing in youth to create positive and lasting impact in their lives. As part of the employee volunteering initiatives, our staff will support youths through academic tutoring.

The Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) is an international non-profit organization partnering with governments, Non-Governemental Organisations and communities around the world to address the challenge of ending plastic waste in the environment. TotalEnergies is a global founding member of the organization
From 19 September to 4 October 2020, TotalEnergies employees in Singapore took to the streets in partnership with the AEPW to positively impact the environment and local neighborhoods. The three-week “TotalEnergies Singapore All Together Global Cleanup Challenge” collected litter and uploaded images on Litterati, an iOS and Android mobile phone application that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to build a database of the amount and types of litter found around the world, for use in further identification of pollution sources and solutions.

Mission
The Food Bank Singapore (FBSG) is a registered charity with Institute of Public Character (IPC) status and they are on a mission to end food insecurity of all forms in Singapore. FBSG does this by salvaging excess food from the food industry and food drives, and redistributing this to 370 beneficiary partners.
Food waste is a huge issue in Singapore, accounting for 10% of all waste produced nationally. Food waste is a significant contributor to global warming, generating 8% of total anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. To put this into perspective, if food wastage were a country, it would be the third largest emitting country in the world.
From 2012, FBSG has leaped from salvaging 2 tonnes of food a year to a whopping 1,684 tonnes in 2020 by simply relying on their resources, supporters and volunteers. Besides contributing to food security in Singapore by tackling the issue of food waste, FBSG’s efforts have an impact on the climate as well.
Partnership with TotalEnergies
Through our partnership with FBSG, we aim to bring greater food security to beneficiaries and make a positive impact on the environment by helping out with the operations of the organization. Besides gaining a deeper appreciation of the issue of food waste in Singapore, our employees also play their part in contributing to the environment.

Mission
Zero Waste SG (ZWSG) is a registered charity and non-governmental organization with a mission to lead the drive towards zero waste in Singapore through education and advocacy. They do this by working with the public and corporates in the areas of food waste, plastic disposables, household recycling and organizational waste.
Most notably, they started the Bring Your Own (BYO) Singapore movement, where 430 retail outlets offered incentives to customers who bring their own reusable items. Since 2017, this movement has helped to reduce more than 2.5 million pieces of plastic disposables. The impacts brought about by ZWSG are far-reaching, with thousands social media followings and hundreds of corporate and school talks. Under the BYO movement, two nation-wide campaigns have been launched: Bring Your Own Bag in 2019 and Bring Your Own Container in 2020.
Partnership with TotalEnergies
By partnering with ZWSG, TotalEnergies' employees contribute their skills and help expand the organization’s reach in order to increase public awareness surrounding environmental issues and make concrete impacts on the sustainability of Singapore.

Mission
Waterways Watch Society (WWS) is a non-governmental and non-profit environmental organization with IPC status. They are committed to fostering appreciation and promoting conservation of our environment, especially the waterways in Singapore. Partnership with TotalEnergies

In support of cultural exchange between France and Singapore, TotalEnergies Singapore has been a proud partner of the Embassy of France in supporting the Voilah! France Singapore Festival for several years.
During the 2019 festival, TotalEnergies partnered the French Embassy, Lee Kong Chian National History Museum (LKCNHM) and the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle to launch a book telling the stories of French naturalists Diard and Duvaucel and their contributions to local natural history in celebration of Singapore’s Bicentennial. The book launch was also promoted with a two-month projection display on the iconic heritage buildings along Armenian Street.
For the 2020 festival, TotalEnergies was a proud sponsor of the French Film Festival which took on a hybrid event model in response to COVID-19. Some 80 TotalEnergies staff and families, youths and volunteers from the Halogen Foundation also showed their support by attending the exclusive preview of the documentary “Ailo’s Journey” at the screening in the Flower Field Hall of Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay.

Migrant workers in Singapore were among those heavily affected when COVID-19 hit in 2020. With a sizeable migrant worker community in Singapore, many TotalEnergies employees were concerned and felt compelled to help this affected community in a tangible way. The “TotalEnergies Singapore Stand Together Fundraising” project was birthed out of collective compassion, care and concern for the migrant worker community and in partnership with Singapore Red Cross Society.
With the employees contributing and TotalEnergies Singapore matching dollar for dollar, over $40,000 was raised to supply and deliver hygiene kits to 15,500 migrant workers living in dormitories.

Since the launch of TotalEnergies Foundation’s Action! platform in 2021, TotalEnergies Singapore has on-boarded seven partners championing different causes.
With the Action! platform, our non-profit partners can directly organize events and recruit volunteers from TotalEnergies. This has encouraged more employees to take part in citizenship initiatives.
