TotalEnergies celebrates Singapore’s National Day with free charging and membership subscription for electric vehicles

Singapore, August 2, 2022 – TotalEnergies, operator of Singapore’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network Bluecharge, is celebrating the country’s 57th National Day with free annual subscription for new sign-ups in the month of August as well as a one-day free charging service. The promotion will be applicable to all locally registered electric vehicles and is valid for both new and existing subscribers of Bluecharge.

Between 00:00 and 23:59 on August 9, 2022, EV drivers will be able to charge their vehicles for free at 455 public charge points. Of these, 90% are situated in HDB estates for the convenience of the everyday user. EV drivers can subscribe for an account 48 hours before booking a free charging slot on the Bluecharge mobile application or website to ensure activation.

In addition, the annual subscription fee will be waived for all new membership sign-ups made in August 2022.

The campaign reflects TotalEnergies’ shared ambition for cleaner and reliable mobility in line with the Singapore Green Plan to electrify the vehicle population. TotalEnergies has seen its public charging usage grown exponentially by 350% over a year.

TotalEnergies is committed to support the development of EV charging infrastructure in Singapore, which is targeting 60,000 charge points by 2030. The company currently operates 1,500 charge points locally, and plans to upgrade and expand the network to better serve its customers.
