TotalEnergies Renews 3-year Sponsorship Contract with Li-Ning to further Strengthen the Development of Badminton Sport in China

Beijing, June 23, 2021- TotalEnergies and Li Ning announced a 3-year renewal of the successful partnership which was initiated in 2017. With this renewal, TotalEnergies will continue as the title sponsor of the “TotalEnergies Li-Ning Li Yongbo Cup 3V3 Badminton Tournament” which will be played in more than 20 cities every year across China.
The press conference ceremony held at the Beijing Li-Ning Center was witnessed by VIP dignitaries, including QIAN Wei, CO-CEO of Li-Ning (China) Sporting Goods Co Ltd, Ian LEPETIT, President of Total (China) Investment Co Ltd, Stephane DION, Managing Director of Total Lubricants (China) Co Ltd, and FU Haifeng, the champion of Badminton Olympic.
Commenting on this key milestone, Ian LEPETIT of TotalEnergies remarked: “TotalEnergies supports the development of badminton, a popular sport that is loved by millions of Chinese. Through our association with Li-Ning 3V3 Badminton since 2017, we are pleased to support the development of Chinese Badminton and advance the sport’s popularity in China. At the scene, Wei QIAN, CO-CEO of Li-Ning (China) Sporting Goods Co Ltd said, " Thanks to TotalEnergies' support for badminton and to the common desire of TotalEnergies and Li-Ning to promote badminton culture around the world, we have a close partnership that has lasted for 5 years. I think this cooperation will continue, because while we both promote the growth of this event, we are also taking action to convey the concept of fitness for all and the trendy attitude of sports life, this intimate cooperation has extraordinary significance for popular sports events! "
In addition to the contract renewal between the two major brands, another highlight of the press conference was the “Guest Forum” which featured in-depth discussions on the future development of badminton in China. The topics included badminton as a project for both competitive athletes as well as the general publics. Both TotalEnergies and Li-Ning are committed to leverage the championship to improve national fitness objectives, in addition to strengthening competitiveness of the sport within and outside China.

2021年6月23日，北京. 道达尔能源携李宁宣布将双方自2017年起的成功合作关系延长3年。通过此次续约，道达尔能源继续成为“道达尔能源·李宁李永波杯3V3羽毛球赛”的冠名赞助商。
