Marine LNG
Powering the transition to net zero
LNG reduces greenhouse gas emissions by around 20% compared to conventional marine fuels. It is an immediately available and cost-effective solution that provides an important stepping stone on the way to the total decarbonization of shipping.
TotalEnergies is committed to supporting the maritime industry’s transition through LNG. This aligns with global climate goals, including the International Maritime Organization’s target of achieving net-zero emissions by around 2050.
Singapore as a hub for LNG marine fuel development
Singapore plays a strategic role in advancing LNG as a lower-carbon fuel in Asia. TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, headquartered in Singapore, has invested in LNG bunkering infrastructure across key international ports. This ensures a robust supply chain that supports shipping customers seeking cleaner alternatives.
