TotalEnergies ENEOS Completes Solar Rooftop Project with SWTS, a leading technical service provider in South East Asia

Singapore, July 3, 2024 – TotalEnergies ENEOS has successfully completed the installation and energization of a 450 kilowatt-peak (kWp) Solar Rooftop Project with SWTS Pte Ltd in Singapore. SWTS is an independent technical service provider, with over 50 years of experience and a long-standing reputation in the engineering industry. It is one of the biggest and most well-equipped workshops in South East Asia. The system will power its facility with renewable energy in Singapore.

With over 760 modules installed, the PV system generates approximately 550 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable electricity annually, enough to power about 130 four-room HDB flats for a year. It will enable SWTS to achieve cost savings and reduce the company’s carbon footprint by about 210 tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to planting around 3,200 trees.

Under the agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS fully funded, installed, and will be operating the solar system while SWTS will only pay for the electricity generated for 17 years, avoiding any upfront costs.

“A core value for us at SWTS is ‘We Act Responsibly’. We make decisions that take into account their impact on society, the environment, and future generations. Transitioning to solar power is a necessary move in our ESG journey and we are grateful to TotalEnergies ENEOS for helping us achieve this” said Sim Bee Lim, Group CEO of SWTS Asia.

“We are pleased to support SWTS in taking an important step in embarking on their sustainability and decarbonation journey and account SWTS as our partner. As a leading solar service provider for commercial and industrial businesses, TotalEnergies ENEOS is committed to helping SWTS to reduce both their energy costs and carbon footprint. This project marks the beginning of our partnership, and I am excited about the potential for future collaborations.” said strong>Elodie Renaud, Director of TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia.
