AdBlue® & ClearNOx®
What is Adblue®?
AdBlue® is a Diesel exhaust fluid made up of 32.5% high purity urea and 67.5% deionized water and it meets the requirements of the ISO 22241 standard. AdBlue® is classified as a non-hazardous product. It is biodegradable, water soluble and colourless.
Why choosing Adblue®?
AdBlue® is used to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions emitted by diesel vehicles which is harmful to the health and environment.
It is used in diesel vehicles equipped with SCR technology selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology, enabling the vehicles to improve their exhaust systems to comply with the Euro 6 norm.
AdBlue® is stored in an auxiliary tank separated from the Diesel tank.
Adblue® at TotalEnergies?
AdBlue® is available from TotalEnergies in bulk, IBC, drums and small packs for commercial vehicles. It enables vehicles to meet with enforced emission standards.
- Full compliance – with Euro VI emissions standards
- Biodegradable – non-hazardous product
- One solution – for all vehicle makes
How ClearNOx® Works?
CLEARNOX is the appropriate urea solution for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions. CLEARNOX complies with the physical and chemical specifications in the ISO 22241 standard.
Like AdBlue®, ClearNOx® treats nitrogen oxide (NOx) in SCR after treatment systems but ClearNOx® goes beyond just this.
Under certain operating conditions (e.g. low charges, frequent stop), the temperature of the exhaust gases is not high enough for the reaction with AdBlue® to be complete. This results in the formation of cyanuric acid crystals causing fouling the SCR system and bringing the vehicle to a standstill.
ClearNOx® guarantees an optimal spray for a complete reaction even at lower temperatures to prevent crystallization in the SCR system.
